Dance festivals focus on music, dance and speech and drama and provide a platform for students to perform in front of a live audience and receive feedback from a professional adjudicator. Each Genre is split into a different section according to the applicants age and ability. All Dance festivals have rules and regulations they must follow.

All students are encouraged to participate in the group and troupe sections however solo, duets and trios are selected by teachers as these require private lessons and participants to be committed to purchasing costumes, makeup and shoes for each category .
